How does the OTPF influence OT practice?
The Occupational Therapy Practice Framework (OTPF) establishes a basis for how occupational therapists treat, assist, and evaluate clients. In my opinion, the OTPF allows all OTs to be on the same page with how they practice OT. This includes using the same lingo and terms when describing what OT is as well. The framework establishes the different domains of the client which then influence the process of OT. This allows the profession to be centered around a top-down approach instead of a bottom-up approach.
